From the Executive Director: Upcoming staffing changes at DMS

Dear members and friends,

I hope you are having a restful summer.

I'm writing to inform you of upcoming staffing changes at Denver Medical Society. I'm leaving DMS on Jul. 31 to move into another career opportunity. I have greatly valued my tenure at DMS. I'm continually in awe of the important work that you do to ensure that all Denver physicians have their voices heard on the healthcare issues that matter most to you, your patients, and our community.

Virginia (Ginny) Castleberry, MBA, has been hired to replace me as Executive Director. Her first day is Jul. 24.

You can learn more about Ms. Castleberry here.

You can welcome our new executive director at virginia_castleberry@cms.org. I know she looks forward to meeting you at upcoming events. Her strong leadership skills, entrepreneurial sprit, and healthcare background will be a wonderful new addition to the DMS team.

In addition, our longtime office coordinator and bookkeeper, Emilie Landon, is retiring after 32+ years of dedication and service to the organization. The DMS Board of Directors presented Ms. Landon with an award (see below) at the Jul. 18 Board meeting. Her last day will be Jul. 31. Please send your retirement well wishes to Ms. Landon at elandon@denvermedsociety.org.

On behalf of the DMS staff and Board of Directors, I wish you a safe, happy, and healthy summer.

P.S. - If you have not already, please sign-up for our pool party & BBQ at Glenmoor Country Club on Aug. 7. The deadline is tomorrow, Jul. 25.

Warm regards,

Stefanie Carroll, MNM

Board Chair Naomi Fieman, MD presents a retirement gift to Em Landon, who worked at DMS for 32+ years before retiring in July 2023.
