Your January News & Updates
As we all headed back to work after New Year's Day, we closed the books on 2017 and started over with a fresh year before us.  Based on conversations with many people in the industry, we don't think there are many who aren't glad to put in a good 2017 sales year after a down 2016!  We were fortunate enough to have our best sales year ever in 2017, the same year we celebrated Hydra-Tech Pumps' 40th year in business - thank you to our customers for helping to make that happen.  As with the beginning of any year, we reflect on 2017 and look forward to 2018.

Discovering Carbon County

Last fall, Hydra-Tech Pumps was asked by the Carbon County Chamber of Commerce if we would like to help with a promotional video they were going to have made to highlight manufacturing among other themes here in Carbon County.  We agreed to participate and had the folks from FireRock Productions here on site for about an hour one day taking some video shots of various jobs around our facility.  When the #discoveryourbold video was released, we were very impressed by the final product, especially the inclusion of Jim Thorpe's grandson in the opening.  Have a look at the video and enjoy - we are proud of our little corner of the world and would welcome a visit from any of our customers if you were going to be close enough to stop by!

Tier 4 Rising

With the New Year taking wing with the same excitement as our Philadelphia Eagles, we want to remind everyone that all new engines and hydraulic power units rated at 175HP and above are required to use emissions regulation Tier 4 Final engines.
Hydra-Tech's product line already includes a sound attenuated 200hp power unit that features a Cummins 6.7L engine.  This unit produces 90GPM of hydraulic flow at 2500psi and is designed to run several of our larger pumps.  And, the decibel levels are in the low 70s at 7 meters.  If you need to operate a different piece of hydraulic equipment, we can design and outfit the unit with other hydraulic profiles.  For example, you might need 100gpm at 2200psi or 75gpm at 4,000psi.  To further these technical details please contact one of our in-house engineers and we will be happy to help.  Hydra-Tech also has Tier 4 Final power unit options in 25, 35, 48 and 74 horsepower, with other units under development.  As you can see, we are well prepared to meet your Tier 4 needs, and we welcome the opportunity to help you make 2018 a super year.

Question of the month:
