2020 BevTech Latin America Virtual Event Recap
We are happy to share with our fellow ISBT members that the 9th edition of the BevTech Latin America 2020 held on October 8, 2020 was both interesting and successful!
Our regional meeting was presented in virtual format. We had 48 registered attendees (bottlers and suppliers) from 10 different countries, 7 new members, 8 presentations related to 5 ISBT Technical Committees, and an amazing group of speakers who talked about the top trends in our industry.
The goal of our 2020 meeting was to reinforce confidence in ISBT as the most trusted organization from which to obtain information, guidance, and training related to the beverage industry, while also focusing on new global trends and challenges that affect our industry (like the COVID-19 pandemic), sustainability and world environmental conditions, consumer expectations, new packaging technologies, and industry 4.0.

Philip Thonhauser
Why did I want to be elected to the ISBT board of directors?
I am striving to bring groups together and align their interests for the benefit of ISBT members. I bring a truly international flavor to ISBT after internationalizing an innovative company out of Vienna and selling it to a large US chemical corporation (AFCO-ZEP, Inc.), and which I have the honor to work with as the CTO now. I love collaborating with people in the beverage industry for both the technical and the social aspects.
