Join us for a day of volunteering while attending BevTech2022! We invite you to join us on Sunday, May 1, 2022, from 12:00 -3:00 p.m. to work alongside teen leaders from the C5 Youth Program to give back to the local community. The exact location and project are still being finalized, but it will take place in the Dallas-Frisco area and will focus on sustainability.

C5 is a five-year program that provides opportunities for young men and women to participate in challenging activities, engage in community service, explore career opportunities and teach them the skills they need to graduate with confidence and become the leaders of change that they want to see in themselves and their communities.  Check out this video here to learn more about the impact C5 has had on some of their alumni: C5 Alumni Video or visit their website at C5 Leaders.

Did You Know... about the ISBT?
ISBT Logo: This was the ISBT logo from November 2003 into the summer of 2009, and its use overlapped with the “Program for xxx” until 2005. The design came from a Pepsi graphic artist, with versions available in different colors.

ISBT: The first CPA financial review of the Society occurred in 2004, beginning the journey to financial stability, budgeting, and the formalization of procedures and practices into guidelines.

50th Anniversary: 2003 marked the 50th anniversary of the SSDT / ISBT. Special speaker Professor Doubletalk (Robert Payne) surprised and humorously entertained the Society about (falsely) announcing pending HFCS legislation at the Tuesday awards luncheon. With his trademark sayings, such as “two wrongs don’t make a right, but three generally do,” he kept the crowd confused but laughing!
