Complete Beverage Gases Course

Special 20% Discount = $100.00
Offer Valid Until June 30, 2021

Learn about carbon dioxide, nitrogen, argon, and oxygen use in beverages. The course benefits individuals who use beverage gases to create products such as carbonated soft drinks, oxygenated water, argon systems in wine processing, nitrogen for headspace control and pressurization, ozone generation, and oxygen in brewing and wastewater processes:
“Traditionally, when someone mentioned beverage gases, they were usually referring to carbon dioxide. Within the industry, atmospheric gases are used for a variety of applications,” states Patrick Kollar of the ISBT Beverage Gases Technical Committee. “This course provides a strong baseline of knowledge on these topics. It is unique because it was created by gas industry professionals who have an in-depth knowledge of how the gases are used in the beverage industry.”

Did You Know... about the ISBT?

  • This logo was used from 1980 to 1996; it was a colorized version of the old logo.
  • During this time period, the Society would begin its annual meetings on Monday mornings with a 2-hour “International Forum” that anyone could attend.
  • In 1996 in Gainesville, FL, the Society held a two-day seminar on Beverages 101, a precursor to the Beverage Institute.
  • Until the late 1990s, the three first-year directors had unusual jobs. One would run the slide projector (no PowerPoint back then!) and all presentations were on 35mm photo slides. Another would turn the lights on and off when the presentations started, and the third would carry the microphone to anyone answering questions.

  • ISBT membership became a lifetime event for some: there are 15 active members who have a combined total of 550 years of ISBT membership, an average of 37 years each. 7 of these have been Circle of Honor awardees, 6 have been president, 2 have been ISBT executive directors, and one was an ISBT board member. Others have been technical committee chairs, frequent presenters, or supporters of the education programs. At our next live event, ask this select group how the ISBT impacted their careers and increased their knowledge! The 15 are: Elizabeth McLeod, Larry Hobbs, Peter Wasko, Michael Redman, Harry DeLonge, David Senior, David Scheuerman, Kevin Gaffney, John Wisler, Ronald Kendrick, Tom Reimer, Kevin Doyle, Maryan Smith, Lucy Kaminsky, and Joel Rosenfield.
