“It’s important for families to know that when the floor is falling out from under you, there is an organization that catches you,” said Chris.
Chris describes the Charity’s mission of providing the comforts of home like a warm bed, food, and other thoughtful amenities as beyond invaluable for families.
“Families are scared and stressed and the role the Ronald McDonald House plays makes this time in their lives easier,” said Chris.
As a father, Chris wants to teach his children the importance of helping others and show them ways they can make a difference. One way he is doing this is by participating in the Walk for a Healthy Community. On Saturday, June 22, Chris and his wife, Cheryl, will be taking their two daughters Matilda,10, and Eleanor, 7, to the family-friendly event. They will walk the 5K with a team of family and friends, raising both awareness and support for families at Ronald McDonald House.
Chris notes that it wasn’t hard to convince his daughters to join him for the walk. All he had to do was explain to them why they were walking and who they were walking for, and they excitedly said yes.
“It was nice to see their drive to want to help,” said Chris.
It means a lot to Chris to have his family share in his enthusiasm to support those who rely on the Charity. This family of four is thrilled to be attending the event and walking together to bring extra comfort to families in need.
