It's Our 12th Anniversary!
Future Smiles first began back on December 29th, 2009. And, this year will be our 12th Anniversary!

For those of you who don't know, our journey as a nonprofit began with the support and vision of Chris Garvey, our co-founder.

Chris is an amazing human being with a very big heart! She's a PTA organizer, community water fluoridation supporter, certified Public Health Dental Hygienist, and respected, retired CCSD School Board Trustee.
We wouldn't be here today without Chris, so we wanted you to get to know her, too.

What is your favorite Future Smiles memory?
"My favorite memory is from the early days of Future Smiles when we first started seeing children at Cunningham Elementary.

The school staff brought a little boy, Noah, to the Future Smiles dental clinic that was on the school campus, because he was in so much dental pain that he couldn’t even eat a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at lunch time.

Within moments we were able to activate the team of hygienists, school staff, and community partners to help Noah. Making case management part of Future Smiles delivery of care, gave Noah’s family the support they needed to get their child out of pain and on the path to good oral health every step of the way.

I felt so much pride and happiness that day. All of our hard work was making a real difference for children and their families."

Super Tooth Sammy's Healthy Sweet Treat
As a general rule, we don't usually endorse sugary treats. But sometimes, especially in hot cocoa weather, you've gotta treat yourself!

Check out Super Tooth Sammy's favorite healthy, homemade marshmallow recipe made with honey here!
Have You Visited the Giving Machine?
The Giving Machine, hosted by the Light the World campaign, is still available in Downtown Summerlin (find it by Macy's & Francesca's)!

In the same time that it takes to swipe for your favorite candy bar at a vending machine, you can swipe to support your favorite local nonprofits like Future Smiles.

It's not too late to give a smile this holiday season! And remember, if you can't make it in person, you can still spread smiles online.
Thank You Smile Champions!
We are blown away by your generosity this Giving Tuesday!

Because of your continued support and gifts to our mission, you will help hundreds of children with dental care and treatment like brushing supplies and dental sealants. We're so grateful to you for helping us build brighter, healthier smiles in Nevada's children.

We'd also like to thank Christina, Anamarie, and Michaela Ellis and the Ellis Island Hotel, Casino & Brewery for matching donations during the event, doubling your impact.

Have a wonderful holiday and keep spreading smiles,
Future Smiles is determined to end oral pain and suffering among NV's neediest children by partnering with the community to deliver essential preventive, restorative, and educational services.
