'New Member' Classes April 20, 21

Are you interested in joining Piedmont Church? Or do you just want to learn more about who we are, what we believe and what we do? Then you're invited to attend our next Come and See gathering hosted by Steve Schibsted and Don Ashburn. 

There are two dates and times to choose from (you need only attend one gathering): either on Saturday, April 20 from 9-11am, or Sunday, April 21 from 11:30am - 1:30pm.

We will be in the Guild Parlor to share a bit about who we are and what brings us to Piedmont Church and how we can grow together in faith and service. Refreshments will be provided. 

Childcare is available for younger children. You can sign up to attend the gathering and/or for childcare in three ways: 

1) In the Courtyard on Sunday morning

Life Groups Discuss Psalm 23

Life Groups are small groups that gather weekly on Thursday evenings from April 18 through May 16. The topic for discussion during this session will be The 23rd Psalm.

We start with a simple dinner at 6:15pm in Guild Hall. Then, we get together in groups meeting in various rooms at the church at 7pm for sharing, support and study. Any adult is invited to be part of a group, whether you’ve attended in the past or not.

Prayers for our Mexico Builders

Please pray for all students and parent volunteers in Mexico as they build 12 houses for people in need. All have arrived safely and construction began Monday!

New Treasures Sale Seeks Donations Spring cleaning for your soul

This year, we are donating our household items to a NEW Treasures Sale benefitting our friends at Primera Iglesia Presbiteriana Hispana (PIPH) in Oakland. You may remember they were the recipient of our 2021 Christmas offering, raising $25k for their food pantry.

We continue our support of their ministry on April 13 and 14 as we bring items listed below in good working order to their church in Oakland.

Please do not bring items to Piedmont Church.

Church Center App Training April 28

Are you having trouble logging in or accessing the new Piedmont Church online directory? You are invited to a 1-hour training session with Operations Coordinator Mariana Navarrete on Sunday, April 28 in the Sanctuary after worship.

This hands-on session will guide you through the app's basics with video demos and practical exercises. 

For a smoother experience, please bring your email address and password.

Deadline for Messenger articles is 12 noon Monday.

Items received after Monday will be considered for the next edition.

New Sermon Series Begins Sunday


Kids Summer Camp with Scuba


Get ready for an incredible week of adventure at Piedmont Community Church's Kids Summer Camp with Scuba! It's a whole week of non-stop fun designed just for kids.


Summer camp is an unforgettable week filled with phenomenal teaching, fantastic worship and biblical truth presented in a very unique way, for kids ages 4 through 5th grade. This will be an awesome week for kids to build relationships with friends and leaders, and go deeper into their relationship with Christ. Camp will be held June 3-7 from 8:30am to noon and aftercare will be available for an additional fee from 12-3pm.

We’ll end the week with a fabulous Luau, water slide and other tropical fun. 

Cost:  $189/per child

  • Aftercare from 12-3pm is available at an additional cost of $75. Kids staying for aftercare should bring their own lunch.

Robisons Celebrate New Granddaughter

Daniella Amelia Robison was born to Olga and Trevor Robison on April 4 making Tim and Toni Robison grandparents, and Mariana Robison a great-grandparent for the second time this year. We all celebrate with their family.

Cheryl Knickerbocker Memorial

A memorial service for long time church member, Cheryl Knickerbocker (in recent years an online Calistoga parishioner), will be held in the Sanctuary this Friday, April 12 at 10am. A reception will follow in Guild Hall.

Shelagh Udovch Memorial

A memorial service for church member Shelagh Udovch will be held in the Sanctuary on Friday, April 26, 11am.

Bob Wright Meditation Garden

Online Bible Study

Don Ashburn leads a weekly online Bible Study on Monday mornings from 10-11am. The study will not meet on April 15. From April 22 to May 20, we will be studying the Old Testament book of Ruth.

Comfort In Loss Meeting

The next meeting of our Grief Group will take place this Saturday, April 13. We will meet in the Murdock Room. It is open to anyone who has lost a loved one, and would like to meet in a supportive and understanding space.

Let's give back to nature by cleaning up Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline. This event is open to all, 3 year olds and older, and can support help of all kinds. We will have trash clean up safety gear available, and donuts and coffee to power us through the morning.

While the event runs from 9am - 12pm, feel free to swing through and support the effort even if just for an hour.

Pickleball Sundays, 1-3pm

The Messenger

Piedmont Church’s online newsletter, The Messenger, is the primary source of communication. The Messenger is published digitally and distributed via email weekly.

Deadline for articles to appear in The Messenger is 12 noon each Monday. Articles submitted after deadline will be considered for the following week.

Michael Barber edits copy and designs the layout of each Messenger with careful consideration of article placement. Placement is determined based on relevance to the congregation and the wider community. 


Sunday Bulletin

Sunday bulletin and worship announcements are decided by Michael based on Tuesday discussions with Staff and lay leadership.

Print deadline for Sunday Bulletin is Tuesday, 12pm.
