Donor Spotlight: Honoring The Contributions of Board Member, Ron Carey, During Black Philanthropy Month
It is often said that gifts to nonprofits come in the form of time, treasure, and talent. In every one of those areas, Ron Carey has given more than his fair share.

Four years ago, Ron joined the ChildSavers Operating Board. Ron’s father had been CEO, L. Robert Bolling’s, fifth grade math teacher, and Ron and Robert made the connection at a meeting for a partner organization. For the last year, Ron has guided ChildSavers through tumultuous economic times as the Chair of the Finance Committee where he has often shared insight gleaned from running his own business, Richmond content marketing firm, Tilt Creative + Production.

After hearing from the ChildSavers team about need for a signature campaign video to bring life to our work, Ron stepped forth immediately and connected us to his incredible team. Together, members of the Tilt team produced a moving video that showcases our community's strengths, barriers to services, and resilience. This video is a crucial tool for us as we fundraise the $15 million needed to connect 30,000+ children with the therapy and child care they need by 2024.

Ron’s impact upon ChildSavers has been immense and lasting. He has truly been a gift to this organization.
