Leadership San Jose (LSJ) is the region’s premiere leadership training program. Each year, LSJ selects a class of 30 emerging and established professionals from the San Jose area for a rigorous 10-part program. This program exposes participants to a wide range of issues affecting the region’s economic prosperity and quality of life, aiming to enhance their civic, political, philanthropic, and community service engagement.

On July 11th, we celebrated the opening of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley’s new headquarters in downtown San Jose with a ribbon cutting ceremony. BGCSV has supported our Silicon Valley youth to reach their full potential for over 80 years. We are thrilled to have them around the corner from us!

Private Attorneys General Act Approved | |

In case you missed it, the recently approved PAGA (Private Attorneys General Act) reform is a significant victory for businesses, streamlining the litigation process and reducing frivolous lawsuits. The proposed changes include increasing employees’ share of PAGA penalties, placing caps on penalties for employers who take corrective action and requiring the representative plaintiff to experience every alleged PAGA violation to have standing. By providing clearer guidelines and fairer procedures, the reform ensures a more balanced legal landscape, promoting a healthier business environment. The San Jose Chamber endorsed these changes and joined forces with Chambers across the state to voice our support.
