Castro Valley Unified School District Receives the CDE Dual Language Immersion

Grant for $350,000

Simi Valley Library Receives $350,000 for the Library Infrastructure Grant

The Simi Valley Library received $350,000 in grant monies for the Library Infrastructure Grant. This grant will go to fund an electrical infrastructure upgrade. California Consulting grant writers worked closely with Simi Valley Library Staff to ensure the winning application.

City of Irwindale

California Consulting spotlights our new client, the City of Irwindale, in our December newsletter. The City of Irwindale is in the San Gabriel Valley in Los Angeles County, California.

 

Irwindale is a full-service city, it has local police and library services. There is a skate park, a senior center, public gymnasium, and a public pool. The majority of the housing is found on the southeastern portion of the city, near Arrow Highway and north of Cypress Street near Irwindale Avenue.

 

Since 2005, the Renaissance Pleasure Faire has held its annual event at the County of Los Angeles Santa Fe Dam Recreation area located in Irwindale. Its rich rock quarries are a major source of revenue for the city as well as the growing industry with Spectrum and Huy Fong Foods, Inc. leading the way.

Project Manager Ilya Malinsky


California Consulting is pleased to spotlight Ilya Malinsky in our December newsletter. Ilya is one of our Project Managers with over a decade of professional writing experience.


Ilya has authored a wide range of successful grant proposals focusing on municipal projects, parks, social services, and education.

 

During the last fiscal year, Mr. Malinsky helped secure more than $5 million in grant funding. Ilya has secured funding for a number of projects serving low-income communities and student populations. Funded projects have included park development and skill-building programs in underserved urban communities, programs for parenting high school students, and comprehensive after-school programs in cities including Los Angeles, Chicago, and Washington, DC.


Ilya earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Boston University.
