LandHealth's watershed stewardship program, ProFESS, is returning for its sixth year to empower 9th-12th grade students in Philadelphia! Accepted applicants will have the opportunity to gain real-world leadership experience and engage with environmental and civic leaders as they become the next generation of environmental scientists and stewards!

If you are a high school student in Philadelphia interested in training to become stewards of the creek while learning more about the health of our city, then sign up today!

This spring, LandHealth will be having several planting days!

This month, LandHealth will be helping to create a vegetable bed with one of their neighborhood communities!

On Saturday, April 23rd we will be having Cobbs Creek Trail Day. Join us at Cobbs Creek Park for Earth Day and see what our nursery has been growing.

Urban-Eco Wonderwalks are BACK! Each week, join Scott Quitel to explore Philadelphia’s natural and cultural history. Stay tuned for specific themes.

Join us for Bonfire nights. Summertime calls for a night by the fire! This year, Landhealth will host fireside urban ecology talks at our nursery. S’mores included!




Nursery News
Built upon an abandoned lot, LandHealth’s Native Plant Nursery aims to rebuild a natural habitat in Philadelphia. How does LandHealth work with institutions and individuals throughout the city in landscaping with native plants?

As spring progresses, our nursery is teaming up with volunteers to help grow native plants.

Shout out to Steve Jones, the nursery manager, who has been there day in and day out to make sure everything is running smoothly.
