Welcome Igor

BC Diving would like to welcome Igor Kopecky to the BC Diving staff.  Igor brings over 35 years of diving experience to BC diving. Both an athlete and coach at the highest levels, Igor was a national team diver and coach. Igor is an NCCP Level 3 Coach and Course conductor for Competitive Intro and Competitive Development.  He holds both Kinesiology and Education degrees and is currently finishing off his masters in High Performance Coaching and Technical Leadership from UBC. As head coach of Dive Calgary he helped build the program into one of the top teams in Canada. Before coming to BC he took the diving program in Peru from zero to South American contenders as the national team coach.  Igor has coached at the World Cup, World Series, South American Championships, Commonwealth Games, World Junior Championships and the Pan Am Games. Igor is excited to bring his experience, skills and love of the sport to join all our BC coaches, divers and diving family, in making BC the strongest diving province in Canada. Welcome Igor to the position of  Technical Director/High Performance Director

Bryden is heading to the 2018 Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina!  The games are October 6th-18th and Diving starts on October 13th! 

Good Luck Bryden, such an amazing accomplishment and we can't wait to cheer you on!

Irene MacDonald Memorial Fund Award

The purpose of the Irene MacDonald Memorial Fund award is to give financial aid to BC Diving athletes to help them pursue their personal excellence goals.
