WELCOME

It's been a very busy start to 2018! Here's what has been going on and what's coming up!

Senior Nationals

BC had 5 athletes attend Senior Nationals. Celina Toth, Ryan Grover, Coral Strugnell, Bryden Hattie, and Nick Nepomuceno.

Some fantastic results:

Celina Gold on 10m

Bryden Gold on 10m Synchro and 6th on 3m

Ryan Silver on 1m and 9th on 3m

Coral 4th on 1m and 5th on 3m

BC Winter Provincials

BC Winter provincials were held at the Grandview Heights pool in South Surrey. We had a great turnout and many divers got their qualifications for Nationals! Photo Team was on site and took some great pictures! Visit their gallery to see the pictures taken throughout the weekend.

Awards and Banquet Event

Every year BC Diving takes an evening to recognize our top athletes! This year we had our awards evening at the Pacific Inn which is located in White Rock. We had a fabulous pasta buffet followed by a list of achievements made by our BC Divers. It is inspiring to hear how hard our athletes are training and to see the amazing results they are getting! Our 2017-2018 BC Provincial team was awarded Speedo Dive Bags. Our top Senior athlete awards went to Celina Toth and Bryden Hattie. Our top Junior athlete awards went to Carson Paul and Keira Lu. Our top coaches went to Tommy McLeod and Lisa Boog!

Commonwealth Games

Celina Both, Bryden Hattie and Tommy McLeod are heading to Gold Coast, Australia on the Canadian team!

This is a huge accomplishment for both Celina and Bryden! We can't wait to watch and cheer you both on!

BC Diving's Shelly Smee receives

Prestigious Presidents' Award

The Presidents award is presented annually to volunteers from Sport BC member organizations who represent the spirit of volunteerism, and whose dedication, energy, and commitment contribute to the development of their sport or organization. Shelly is truly deserving of this prestigious award and we are thankful to have her part of BC Diving!

2018 British Elite Junior Diving Championships

Keira Lu from Boardworks is in Plymouth, UK for the 2018 British Elite Championships. This event runs from April 2nd-5th. The four day event will have top divers under 18 battling it out in three different age groups! Go Keira!

Coaching Course

BC Diving Comedy night fundraiser! Saturday April 21st 8:00pm $15 per person for a comedy show! Food and Drinks available for purchase. 50/50 draw and a fun night of live comedy!
