Mission Impact

Thank you for Joining us at Our Second Community Fair!

We are grateful to everyone who joined us for our second Community Fair! With your incredible support, we were able to directly reach 125 community members and make a positive impact on 306 individuals, including 84 children!

This event showcased the power of collaboration and reminded us of what we can achieve when we come together. A special shoutout goes to Simply Healthcare Plans for partnering with us to distribute groceries during the fair. Each community member who visited the pantry received about 2-3 weeks of groceries for their household.

We’d also like to thank Waters Pointe Apartments for donating clothing they collected for us, and to Black Girl Boss, St. Pete Girl Boss, and Grand Central Brewhouse for contributing clothing from their recent swap event. The clothes were proudly displayed during the fair, and guests had a great time shopping the racks for items new to them.

We’re excited to keep the momentum going and continue working together to create more opportunities for empowerment! Stay tuned for details about our next fair!

Partnering for a Purpose: A New Collaboration with PARC Center for Disabilities and the SPCA

We’re excited to announce a new partnership with the PARC Center for Disabilities and the SPCA that is making a meaningful difference in our community! This collaboration is all about helping both people and pets, combining resources to create a win-win situation for everyone involved.

The SPCA will be donating pet food to our pet food pantry. This generous support helps ensure that pet owners in our community can continue to care for their furry friends without worrying about how to feed them. But that’s only part of the story.

PARC Center for Disabilities has stepped up to add an extra layer of impact. They’re using this opportunity as a life skills and occupational exercise for their participants. Large bulk bags of pet food are delivered to PARC, where individuals work to sort and repackage the food into smaller, more manageable bags. This activity not only helps improve essential skills like organization, teamwork, and attention to detail, but it also provides meaningful occupational training for their members.

Once the pet food is repackaged, the smaller bags are delivered directly to our pantry, ready for distribution to those in need. It’s a wonderful example of how organizations can work together to address multiple needs at once, supporting individuals and their pets while fostering a sense of purpose and community.

We are thrilled to be part of this collaboration and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will continue to have in our community!
