We’re excited to announce a new partnership with the PARC Center for Disabilities and the SPCA that is making a meaningful difference in our community! This collaboration is all about helping both people and pets, combining resources to create a win-win situation for everyone involved.
The SPCA will be donating pet food to our pet food pantry. This generous support helps ensure that pet owners in our community can continue to care for their furry friends without worrying about how to feed them. But that’s only part of the story.
PARC Center for Disabilities has stepped up to add an extra layer of impact. They’re using this opportunity as a life skills and occupational exercise for their participants. Large bulk bags of pet food are delivered to PARC, where individuals work to sort and repackage the food into smaller, more manageable bags. This activity not only helps improve essential skills like organization, teamwork, and attention to detail, but it also provides meaningful occupational training for their members.
Once the pet food is repackaged, the smaller bags are delivered directly to our pantry, ready for distribution to those in need. It’s a wonderful example of how organizations can work together to address multiple needs at once, supporting individuals and their pets while fostering a sense of purpose and community.
We are thrilled to be part of this collaboration and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will continue to have in our community!
