What Makes a Credit Union Different than a Bank?
The Volunteers
Metrum Community Credit Union is governed by the Board of Directors and Supervisory Committee, which are comprised of members who are elected democratically and serve voluntarily. The Board of Directors set policies and direct the Credit Union's efforts to ensure the best interests of the membership are met. The Supervisory Committee has oversight of the auditing functions, ensuring member accounts are protected.
| |
|
|
This unique philosophy is what sets your credit union apart from other financial institutions and, without our volunteers, we would not be able to provide low-cost services.
No experience is required to become a volunteer, only the willingness to give your time and a strong desire to help Metrum Community Credit Union continue to succeed and grow. Would you consider applying?
This is your chance to take part in how your Credit Union is run, and help set the direction for the future. If you are interested, or would like more information, contact Karen at kpadrevita@metrumcu.org, or 303-770-4468 ext. 1040.

Margaret's New Chapter
March 15 was a bittersweet day for the staff at MCCU. After 16 years and 10 months, it was officially Margaret's last day of work.
Many of MCCU's members have talked to Margaret over the phone once or twice, as her main role was to connect with members and see if the CU could help them save money by refinancing a loan and helping them get set up with eStatements and online banking.
| |
|
|
Margaret loves talking with people, young and old and believes in building relationships with each person that she talks to - which is why she was the perfect person for the job.
Margaret, we wish you all the best with your new chapter in life!

Enhanced Security for Online Shopping
A new layer of security is now live for online purchases known as EMV 3DS. This new protocol will support the authentication needs on ‘card-not-present’ (online) type of transactions.
This new tool will have little to no impact on your online shopping experience. All cardholders will be automatically enrolled to the service. The authentication process is seamless and integrated into the merchant’s checkout process.
Online transactions that are considered high risk will initiate a one-time passcode will be utilized between the online merchant and cardholder. The one-time passcode would be sent to the cardholder's mobile device via text or the cardholder's email address.
For questions or assistance with this new security, email our Member Service Team or call 303-770-4468.
