Summer leagues are coming up!

Please note that the fee charged by the chapter is sometimes (not always) a few dollars higher than the rate you would pay if you booked on your own using the PGA Golf Pass membership. The rate you see in Golf Pass does NOT include taxes which will always run you an additional 6% to 6.5%. And, keep in mind the benefits you are receiving including:  

• Play is organized for you; all you have to do is sign up and show up!
• Most clubs limit registration to between 2 & 4 days prior to play whereas we are able to book well in advance of that.
• Often, we are able to book courses that are not listed in the Golf Pass membership.
• Our fee includes taxes.
• Some courses add on a cart staff gratuity fee and we have that incorporated into your registration fee.
• In some cases we are able to negotiate a better than Golf Pass rate.

I hope all members are able to benefit from the leagues that Michelle Riordan and her team put together. Aside for Michelle who is an amazing worker bee; kudos to Suzi Ward again for her efforts to get us out on the courses this summer.

2024 LPGA Amateurs SWFL Chapter Board Members

It's that time of year again as our many of our members start heading back north and we wind down our winter season of golf.  Tuesday @ Hibiscus Nine & Dine celebrated their last round on 3/26. A huge shout out to Mary Erickson for running this ever popular league on the newly renovated Hibiscus course!  Also, Wednesday @ Quail Run wrapped up their final round on 3/27. Again, a huge shout out to Peggy Meyerowitz who did a fabulous job of running this league at a course that's hosted our chapter for years! Saturday @ Stoneybrook & Saturday @ Quail Village will continue to run through the end of April.

Please note that there will be ONE email announcement each week with the upcoming play open for registration. Members need to take note of the Registration Open/Close windows for each event and sign up as registration opens.

9am Shotgun Start

We are pleased to announce the return of the Sugar Bowl in Clewiston.

This is a fun multi-chapter event with the following chapters playing: 

SWFL, Palm Beach County, Fort Lauderdale, Treasure Coast Miami and hopefully a few more!

We have a 9 am shotgun start and a rate of $80 which includes:

Golf, Taco Bar Lunch, Cart Attendant Tips & Prizes

The format is a 2-person team scramble and in addition to team prizes, the chapter with the most wins takes home the Sugar Bowl; let's try to bring the Sugar Bowl Trophy back to SWFL! We will be using handicaps for prizes and you must have a verifiable handicap to participate in prize winnings.  

Registration and payment is made through the Golf Genius Portal. You will need to copy & paste the following URL into your web browser to register (don't wait, will fill up fast):

5. Next page:  Enter your billing information

You will receive a confirmation email

This is a fun time in SWFL as some of the semi-private and even private courses open their doors to public play AND at reduced prices. 

This league will play on Thursdays each week and travel to different courses throughout the summer in Collier County and in Lee County from Daniels Parkway and south.

We look forward to seeing you at some exceptional courses throughout the summer months.

LPGA members from any chapter in the area, their guests and friends are welcome to join us for a team play event.

The format of play is Four-ball.  In this team format, a team of two golfers each play their own golf ball. The teammate with the lower score on each hole provides that team’s score for that hole. 

To celebrate Cinco de Mayo, we will have an added competition of best theme dress recognizing this Latin American celebration.  

Cost (members & guests):   

• Golf Only $75 including taxes
• Golf and Lunch $98

Flights will be determined based on field participants.  Awards for Gross and Net top 3 teams.

Registration Opens: Monday April 8gh @ 8:00 AM Closes:  Monday April 29th @ 5:00 PM

The players head moves.

The lead wrist breaks down at impact.

will appear on your credit card statement as:

When a Member 'disputes' a registration charge,

the Chapter is charged a $25 fee for each disputed transaction 

We ask you to please be mindful of this - going forward, the $25 fee for disputing a legitimate charge will be passed on to the member
