Welcome to the Team!

Lindsey Hipp

Lindsey (she/her) is a new Volunteer Advocate Coordinator here at CASA of the Fox Cities. After volunteering here for over five years, she looking forward to continuing her passion for advocating from a new angle.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her two children and spouse, trying out new restaurants and recipes, hiking, traveling, and catching up with friends. Her family has a dog named Phil (named after her family’s favorite sushi roll, the Philadelphia Roll), 2 kitties named Mac and Minnie, and a bearded dragon named Spike. A fun fact about Lindsey is that she has had a pen pal for 28 years! They met in person once, at her wedding, and still remain in contact.

Leslie Skyrms

Leslie has joined the staff at CASA of the Fox Cities as a Volunteer Advocate Coordinator. Leslie has served as a CASA a total of six years, five years in Hennepin County Minnesota and one year in Outagamie County.

She has an eclectic background, running her own corporate communications company for several years. She has also been a journalist and a professional staff. When not advocating for children, Leslie enjoys reading, writing, cooking and sharing deep conversation with family and friends. She lives with her neurotic dog, Fanny.

Our CASAFC Community,

We are so grateful for the opportunity to have two of our dedicated volunteers shift into staff Coordinator roles over this past month. Their firsthand knowledge of the heart and hard work each of you put into your cases will be nothing short of invaluable. In light of these energizing additions, and a few other transitions in process, please stay tuned for updates in our coming newsletters about our plans and path forward—including next steps regarding the Fostering Futures focus groups conducted this past Spring as well as pre-service training structure for this fall. If you have friends or family interested in becoming an advocate, now is a great time to send them our way for an info session (or invite them to CASAblanca)!

Continuing Education Reminder

A reminder to keep working on your continuing education hours. National CASA/GAL requires advocates to participate in 12 hours of continuing education per calendar year. Contact your coordinator if you have any questions.

There are events on the calendar and lists of other beneficial materials on the website.
