2024 Online Derby Pre-Registration Is NOW OPEN

Please pre-register/pay online now and, beginning August 31, bring your confirmation number to any Derby registration outlet to pick up your badge, free Vineyard Vines hat, souvenir booklet, and official rules brochure to complete your registration.

Remember: You cannot fish until you have picked up your registration packet.

Book Your 2024 Trip Today: Easy Ferry Access

There are lots of ways to get to the Vineyard! By car ferry, by air, or by private boat, we hope you will "Come to the Vineyard and Fish the Derby". If you have not yet planned your travel, this guide is full of lodging options, places to eat, and even a full list of fishing charters. Room rates typically drop way down in September and October!

Scholarship Program Crosses Milestone: $1M Given Away

In 2024, the Derby broke its own record again, by awarding a total of $100,000 in scholarships to 10 deserving Island students. This is the core of the Derby's mission and we appreciate your support. Since its establishment as a nonprofit organization, the Derby has awarded annual scholarships to Martha’s Vineyard graduating seniors. The amount of money donated since 1988 has now surpassed $1M. The Derby website has been updated and you can now download the 2024 Rules Brochure, the new Souvenir Booklet, freeTide Charts, and more. Visit our new Souvenir Booklet history page, showcasing past booklets and covers.

This is also where you can keep tabs on real time Derby results, once the Derby begins.

Pass On The Magic: Kid's Day 2024: September 22

Coop and his crew will once again be hosting our annual FREE Kid's Day event at the Oak Bluffs Steamship Authority Wharf. Sunday September 22nd 6:00-8:00AM. Prizes!
