Celebrate National Foster Care Month by taking your first step into the world of foster care with our Foster Care Information Exchange. Prospective foster parents in Kansas and Missouri are invited to attend this free event on Tuesday, May 28, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. Whether you’re curious about foster care or ready to get started, we hope you’ll take advantage of this unique opportunity to gather information and connect with experts and others considering foster care.

But wait, there’s more! Earlier this month, we released Foster Careland: The Ultimate Adventure, a self-guided, interactive digital resource that takes anyone who is curious step-by-step through the process of becoming a licensed foster parent.

Both are a great way to get informed this National Foster Care Month about the foster care system, how children come into care, the types of foster care, and how you can get started today.

How an Advanced Degree Can Benefit Your Clients, Your Workplace, and Most Importantly, Your Future

This graduation season, we send our heartfelt congratulations to all the graduates from our partner schools in Kansas City, St. Louis, and beyond.

At Cornerstones of Care, more than two dozen team members are currently pursuing or graduating with an advanced degree while maintaining full or part-time jobs. Through mentorship, flexible work schedules, and a tuition reimbursement program, Cornerstones of Care helps these team members reach their personal and professional goals, which can have a long-term impact on the families we serve.

We talked with four Intensive In-Home Services/Intensive Family Reunification Services team members from three different levels of the organization to find out why they chose to pursue master’s degrees, how they’re managing it, and why others should consider it too.
