You're Invited!

We are delighted to invite you to White Pine Council's Volunteer Appreciation BBQ to celebrate your invaluable contributions and dedication to Scouting.


WHO:

All volunteers in the White Pine Council are invited! Families are also welcome. Please RSVP with the number of guests attending so we can plan accordingly.


WHERE:

The event will be held at Council Hall and the surrounding grounds. Use the entrance on Conlin Rd (275 Conlin Rd. E.). There is a large parking lot directly in front of Council Hall.


WHEN:

Sunday, June 23rd, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm, rain or shine!


ATTIRE:

Please wear a necker to help us identify you. Uniforms are optional.


FOOD:

We'll be serving hotdogs, burgers, chips, cake, and pop. Vegetarian and gluten-free options will be available. Please let us know on your RSVP form if you require any dietary accommodations.


THANK YOU GIFT & DOOR PRIZES:

Sign in when you arrive to receive your Thank You gift and free tickets for the door prize draw. Multiple prizes will be awarded. Names will be drawn at 7:00 pm.


ACTIVITIES:

A group of volunteers will be running Beaver Buggy, Kub Kar, and Scouts Truck races. We will also have various lawn games set up on the grounds around Council Hall.


CAMPFIRE:

An extra-large fire bowl will be used for our campfire in the back field of Council Hall. 1st Uxbridge Venturers will lead us in songs.


AWARDS:

White Pine Council's Recognition Lead, Ute Sack, together with the CK3, will be presenting several Council Awards at our campfire gathering. Please click here to learn more about each award and find out how you can nominate a fellow Scouter (nominations are due by June 16th!).


In addition to our Council Awards, some Group Commissioners have requested the opportunity to present National Recognition Awards to their Scouters. We are delighted to accommodate these presentations and invite other GCs to do the same.

WHAT TO BRING:

Outdoor seating is not provided, so please bring a lawn chair.

Indoor tables and chairs will be available for dining, but must remain inside.


Mess kits are not required as we will provide paper plates, but you are welcome to bring one if you prefer.

CLARIFICATION: 

Please note, an email went out a couple of days ago informing recipients that the Camp Samac Committee BBQ has been rescheduled for September. That BBQ was specifically for Camp Samac volunteers, and is separate from our Council-Wide Volunteer Appreciation BBQ. Our event is still on track as planned.
