Marcus Steiner

What is your role at Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Newlin-Miller, Realtors?
I am a property manager and focus mainly only commercial and larger complexes. I started back in May of 2017

What do you like most about working here?
The people. Everyone I work with works together to try to get things done -- even the upper management takes an interest in a lot of our front-line work. It shows that the people running everything care about their employees and the work that we do.

What is the most challenging part of your job
Trying to balance all of the responsibilities. You do a lot as a property manager and not every owner we work for does things the same way, so keeping up with every owner's preference while keeping up with the day-to-day can be tough

What has been your favorite project you've worked on with your job?
Taking over two larger owners has been a good challenge. I've liked digging through the revenues and expenses to find ways to improve the owners' bottom lines as things have progressed. It's been interesting to see how even small adjustments can make a major impact.

What is something most people probably don't know about you?
I studied Ancient Greek and Latin languages as an undergraduate and translated large chunks of Ancient Greek literature. I remain a history nerd to this day (I'm finishing my Master's in Global History in May 2018!).
