This Newsletter includes important reminders for finals week and graduation that you should take care before Spring Break. To hear our recommendations on how to spend your break, check out this Newsletter's One Minute w/ HAS Podcast.

Graduation Reminder

Are you graduating in SPRING 2024? Here's a checklist for you!

  • Have you met with an adviser to check in on your Degree? You also must meet with an adviser to apply to graduate. (Seniors expecting to graduate in Spring 2024 must submit applications by April 12th!)
  • HAS advisers can meet with you during Spring Break. Our offices WILL be open!
  • Double check your MyPlan and Degree Audit to make sure all of your courses are applying accurately to your degree.

Commencement & Department Celebrations

There are many ways to celebrate your graduation! This includes the big Husky Stadium Commencement but also check your major departments for more intimate individualized graduation celebrations.

  • Autumn 2024, Winter 2024, and Summer 2024 grads: you are welcome to participate in Spring 2024 graduation celebrations!

Reminder: Grade Changes and Drops

Need to drop a course? This Friday, March 8th is the deadline for students to drop courses for Winter 2024.

  • Use your self-service drop if you haven't dropped a course yet.
  • Use the Current Quarter Drop (CQD) process to drop more than one class or to fully withdraw.
  • Students whose enrollment requires full-time status must use the CQD process to drop any classes.

Need to change grade options a course? Next Friday, March 15th is the deadline for students to change to or from S/NS grades for Winter 2024.

  • Numerical (0.00-4.00) grades count towards degree/major requirements and impact your overall GPA.
  • Satisfactory/Non-Satisfactory grades are not applied to degree/major requirements or your GPA.
  • Every change will have a $20 fee and can be made on your registration page.

Worried about your grade? Check with a HAS adviser to see if S/NS grading is a good option for you.
