Greetings!
First and foremost, all of us here at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta hope that you, your family and friends are well, safe and healthy.
This week marked the start of our Summer Program, and we are so excited to welcome back our Club members as they are invited to explore new hobbies, have new experiences and build life-long relationships. As all of our excited Club members know, rule number one at the Club is to have fun! And as always, safety is our number one priority.
As we welcome back our Club members, Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta has put in place preventative measures in accordance with CDC guidelines to reduce the spread of COVID-19, and our summer program is fully compliant with social distancing and infection prevention protocols. Read below to find out more about these new policies and procedures, and to learn more about all of the fun-filled activities we have in store for our Club members this summer.
Registration is
always
open, for any family who has not yet registered.
As we reopen our doors,
we need your continued support now more than ever.
It is because supporters like you that we
can continue to serve the youth and families who need us most, both now and in the months ahead.
Sincerely,

Safety remains the number one priority of Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta and we are doing everything possible to keep children, our staff, and volunteers protected from the COVID-19 virus. We continue to monitor all updates from the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and local and state health departments for updated information.
Given the state of the virus in our community and with guidance from local health officials, the Club plans to reopen June 29th. Upon reopening, the following precautions will take place to ensure the health and safety of both members and staff:
- Social distancing (i.e. only 10 youth per classroom, spaced 6 feet apart)
- Mandatory masks for staff and Club members (Masks will be provided if needed)
- Wellness monitoring (including temperature checks)
- Increased sterilization
- Required hand-washing
- Parents/Guardians must pick up their child as a priority if they show symptoms of sickness
We realize that Boys & Girls Club of Greater Shasta is the only place that some of the families in our community can turn to when schools are closed. We are monitoring this diligently and will continue to operate with these limitations in place as long as we are able to provide a safe environment for young people. As always, we place the safety of our youth and staff at the highest level.

Did you know that by simply purchasing your regular Amazon purchases through
Amazon Smile
, Amazon donates .05% of your purchases to the Club with no impact on your purchase total?
Let's break this down a bit...
The average family spends about $120/month on Amazon purchases. That means over the course of a year, your purchases could result in a $70 donation to the Club. Multiply that by all of our supporters, and imagine the change you can make for Siskiyou County youth!
If you have any questions, please call our Office at 530-220-7623.
