Customer Project Highlight
This week Maile stopped in at the shop and shared her current project - Torrid Toes Slipper Boots. The previous link will take you to the blog site and the free pattern. These are meant to be worn over a pair of socks. They are constructed flat with some short rowing and simple cables and finished with a mattress stitched seam. Maile discovered it is necessary to play around with yarn weights and needle size to achieve various foot lengths. The pattern is written for an average women's foot and calls for extra bulky yarn. Maile's first pair were gargantuan. Her second pair (pictured) is knit with James C. Brett Marble Chunky and will fit a woman's size 7 1/2.
Maile also knits beautiful accessories such as scarves and hats for consignment. In a future weekly feature/monthly newsletter, we hope to picture some of her creations made with various yarns purchased at Lori's.
