TROJAN GOLF: Girls earn third, Boys finish fourth at GHSA Championships


After two grinding days of golf at Sunset Hills Country Club, the Trojan girls and boys teams finished third and fourth, respectively, in the GHSA AAAAAAA State Tournament. The girls two-day score of 480 was the best in school history and the program's best state performance since 2021. The boys ended with a two-day score of 575, which set a school record for the best two-day tournament score.

Trojan golf places two on GHSGCA All-State team


Luke Able ('24) and Mackinnley Yarbrough (FR) have been selected to the Georgia High School Golf Coaches Association 7A All-State team. Both golfers helped lead the Trojans to a fourth-place finish at the GHSA championships on May 20-21 as Yarbrough finished tied-5th and Able tied for 10th. This is the third straight all-state selection for Able and the first for Yarbrough.

Eight Trojans make all-region girls soccer teams


The CHS girls soccer team placed eight players on the region 2-AAAAAAA first and second teams for the 2024 season. Morgan Grizzard and Joelia Gonzalez earned first-team honors for the Trojans. Genesis Navas, Heaven, Kirk, Nataley Handley, Aspen Ebensberger, Angelly Cruz, and Yesenia Barba made the second team.

CHS '24 graduate wins GHSRA Championship to advance to Nationals


Over the weekend, recent CHS graduate Colt Shadrix ('24) earned the winning average and won the 2024 Georgia High School Rodeo Association Steer Wrestler Championship. The event was held at the Georgia National Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, Georgia. In July, Colt will head to Rock Springs, Wyoming, for the National Rodeo Finals.

Former Trojan pole vaulter advances to NCAA Championships


Payton Phillips ('21) has advanced to the national championships in the pole vault after winning the Eastern Regional with a personal best jump this past weekend. She will compete in Eugene, Oregon, on Thursday night, June 6, for a chance to become an All-American and national champion.
