Boys golf goes low again in preparation for state tournament

The Carrollton High School boy's golf team achieved a new school record with 289 (+1) on the second day of the North Georgia High School Classic on May 12. They ended the tournament with a 589 (+13) two-day total, securing third place. Luke Able, scoring 145, was named to the All-Tournament Team. Notable scores included Morin (73) and Able (74) on Day 1, and Able (71) and Yarbrough (71) on Day 2. The team now advances to the Class 7A state tournament at Sunset Hills Country Club, scheduled for May 20-21.

Dishman breaks school record; relay team sets high mark

Senior Aubrey Dishman etched her name in the history books on Saturday after finishing fourth in the 800m with a program record time of 2:16.67. Marisol Colorado, Jalyn Rooks, Emily Whipple, and Allison Batts finished 10th in the 4X1800 relay with the second-fastest time in school history at 9:50.04.

Trojan greats see display for the first time

Former Trojan football standouts Reggie Brown and Jonathan Jones returned to Carrollton for the GHSA track and field championships this past weekend. They visited the "Trojans in the NFL" display on the second floor of the Whitley Morris Fieldhouse, which honors Trojan alumni who have played in the professional league. Brown led the Trojans to a state football championship in 1998, while Jones contributed to the 2010 football runner-up team and was instrumental in winning three consecutive track titles from 2010 to 2012.

Cooley takes first, Moore finishes fourth at Georgia freestyle championships

Lady Trojan wrestlers Bailey Moore and Madison Cooley competed at the Georgia freestyle championships at Life University on Saturday, May 11. Madison Cooley took home first place in the 145lb division, while Bailey Moore finished fourth in the 135lb division.

Trojan football ready for spring game Thursday

The CHS football team will host their annual spring game this Thursday, May 16, in the Pope-McGinnis Student Activity Center. Practice will begin at 3:45 pm, and the scrimmage will start around 4:15 pm. This will be a split-squad scrimmage and admission to the game is a box of laundry detergent (POWDER ONLY). Lawn chair seating will be available at the field; you must bring your own chair.
