Trojan great sees display for the first time

Former Trojan football standout Darnell Powell attended the Trojan Athletic Hall of Fame ceremony Sunday and got his first look at the new "Trojans in the NFL" display on the second floor of the Whitley Morris Fieldhouse. Powell was one of the 1971 state championship team leaders and played three years of professional football from 1976 to 1978.

Freshman Conner Rolek is pictured competing in the pole vault at the Carrollton Invitational on March 9. He will compete in the pole vault championship on May 9, beginning at noon.

CHS to host GHSA State Track & Field Championships

Carrollton High School is hosting the annual GHSA Track & Field Championships this Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, May 9, 10, and 11. Both Trojan boys and girls teams will compete all three days for a chance at a state title. For a list of all events and start times, click HERE.

Trojan baseball tabs 10 for all-region team

The CHS baseball program had 10 players selected for the Region 2-AAAAAAA all-region team. The team was headlined by senior second baseman Andrew Albertus, winning player of the year. Landon Eubanks, Bryce Kingeter, Kaleb Binion, Andrew Rambo, Connor Dailey, and John Cobb earned first-team honors. Maddox Monsour and Dylan Bishop made the second team, and Jordan White was selected as an honorable mention.

Girls lacrosse puts three on all-area team

After a historic season for the girls lacrosse program, accolades continue to roll in. Seniors Charli Colquitt and Hutton Green earned first-team honors, while freshman Olivia Monsour made the second team. The Trojans earned their first playoff win in program history over North Cobb in round one before falling to West Forsyth in round two.

CHS boys soccer adds six to the all-region team

The Trojan boys soccer program had great representation on this year's Region 2-AAAAAAA all-region team. Junior Carlos Hernandez and senior Isaac Cruz earned first-team honors. Ronald Reyes, Josue Cruz, Eduardo Hernandez, and Jefferson Hernandez made the second team. The Trojans upset No. 1 Hillgrove in round one of the GHSA playoffs before falling to No. 5 Archer in round two.
