Mystery Matters   Your Dog Might Star
in My Next Book!

a special raffle to raise funds for W.A.G.

Dogs Matter

Would your dog like to be in my next mystery?

Here's a chance for your dog to be a star!

I'm introducing a dog into my Biscuit McKee Mystery Series. Glaze McKee, sister of the main character, is going to find a dog and be adopted by it. I've written the book with a generic DOG in the scenes, and now I need to fill in with the breed (or lack thereof), the coloring, the name (of course), and the personality.

Just $10 a ticket

ALL the proceeds go to WAG www.wagwalton.com

They're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, so you'll get a tax benefit, too.

It will be interesting to see how very different the book will be,

depending on whether the winner is a Newfoundland

or a Chihuahua

or some size in between!

My mysteries are "traditional," which means I focus on telling a darn good story without excess blood and gore. I incorporate the clues, but craft the story to leave you guessing until the very end. Like a jigsaw puzzle, the pieces eventually all fit.

The main character, Biscuit McKee, is librarian in the small fictional town of Martinsville. Marmalade is the orange and white tabby cat who adopted Biscuit in ORANGE AS MARMALADE, the first book in the series.

Each book title contains a color.

  • Orange as Marmalade
  • Yellow as Legal Pads
  • Green as a Garden Hose
  • Blue as Blue Jeans, and
  • Indigo as an Iris.

The book your dog just might be in is the 6th in the series,

VIOLET AS AN AMETHYST

Just $10 for a ticket. Buy your tickets online by donating at WAG, and your dog might be the one who gets his or her "author photo" in the book. After all, the winning dog will play an integral part in solving the murder!

For every $10 you donate, you automatically get one raffle chance.

The more you buy, the greater your chance of winning.

The raffle will run from now through the last week in September.

You don't have to be present to win.

Neither does your dog!

If you're in the Loganville GA area, come to the open house for WAG's new facility on Friday September 16th from 4 to 8 p.m. I'll be there and would love to see you.

Remember, all proceeds from the raffle go directly to Walton Animal Guild (WAG)

Spread the word. Buy a ticket or two or three or more, and tell your friends who have dogs.
