Are you a 'giver,' with a well that needs to be filled? Are you craving silence? Overstimulated and distracted by the outside world? Yearning for the opportunity to 'just be" to offer yourself some of what you're always pouring out to others? In this time of transition, activism, and involvement, it is so vital that you nourish yourself. 

Here is your chance--

Take some "time in" to connect with and nurture yourself with a Silent Retreat hosted by The Ivy Yoga School on October 14, from 10-3.

This retreat will be guided by Kara Snapp, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist, Group Facilitator, and 500 hr Therapeutic Yoga Teacher. She has designed this half day experience to support you in the practice of self-compassion and self-love. Through movement and yoga, meditation, journaling & creative expression, partner practice, and a circle share at the day's end you will be led through your body to your center to notice, acknowledge, and accept what is happening for you moment to moment, how it connects with your life, and what you'd like to create to continue self-nurturing when the retreat is over.

Bring with you beverages and a snack/lunch, journal and writing utensils--maybe colored pencils or markers, and a yoga mat if you prefer to use your own. Dress for movement and meditation, and carry layers with you for walking outdoors, and an umbrella in case of rain. No previous experience with yoga or meditation is expected or necessary. Come as you are to create a greater sense of self-love.
