Y’s MEN CARDS

A reminder that we have “Membership Cards” that are printed front and back with a summary of Y’s Men information and activities.   This is an excellent way to invite anyone you believe could become a Y’s Men Member to a future meeting.   The website address is on the card as well as a QR Code to take the person directly to our website.   These are available on the Membership Table every Thursday morning at Saugatuck Church (and Sherwood Island Pavilion from June 1 to August 30, 2024).  Take some and keep one in your wallet so it is convenient to give out!

CONSUMER REPORTS II

“Indication of Interest”

In May 2023,  we did a highly successful  T&E Trip and Tour to the Consumer Reports Auto Testing Facility in Colchester, CT.   Because we were only allowed to have 50 Y’s Men attendees and there was a huge response, we selected the attendees by “lottery” and there was a substantial “wait list.”   Many Members have inquired if there will be a follow-up visit to the 327-acre Consumer Reports Auto Testing Facility.

We are currently working with the Consumer Reports Team for a potential Visit and comprehensive tour of the main campus of Consumer Reports in Yonkers, NY.  This is the National site where everything is tested with the exception of automobiles.

We are attempting to get “Indications of Interest” for any Member who would be interested in attending either on May 20 or 21 for a full day Tour of the huge campus and laboratories followed by a Wine Tasting Event at the end of the day.   There would be a minimum donation to Consumer Reports of $50.00, and they are a 501 (c)3  organization.   Because these Tours are typically not done for the Public and are limited to the Press, this Tour would be for Members Only – no spouses or guests.   We are discussing a maximum number that would be allowed.

We must have a count of potential attendees so we can finalize our conversations with Consumer Reports.   This does not include the Auto Testing Facility in Connecticut that will be discussed later this year.  Please respond to ronholtz.ysmen@gmail.com  by Thursday, April 11, 2024.  If you have questions,  please email them as well.  Your response is not a binding reservation, but merely to gauge Y’s Men Member interest for final planning.   However,  if you do not respond,  we will assume that you are not interested in attending.
