Greetings!
This week, Y.E.C.A. celebrates its first birthday! It is a true blessingto be able to look back and see all that God has been doing in and through us this past year.
This young, but growing movement, would be much weaker without the voices of concerned young evangelicals from all across the country. We count on you to continue sharing our message in your circles of influence.
This next week, we're taking things to the next level. I and some of our Y.E.C.A. Steering Committee will hit the road on our 2013 Speaking tour, a dream that we thrilled to see come to fruition. We currently have over fifteen different campus stops planned in less than three months!
I hope that our paths may cross along the way and that we may both be energized and equipped to continue reaching out to our church and generation!

Christians and the Climate Crisis Speaking Tour Kicks off on Monday

Here at Y.E.C.A., We're eagerly anticipating a very busy next two weeks. Our 2013 Speaking Tour, Christians and the Climate Crisis, will finally be getting off the ground!
Spokesman, Ben Lowe, and Campaigns Assistant, Kaleb Nyquist, will hit the road on Monday on a blitz of the state of Indiana where they will also be joined by Steering Committee Member, Kevin Crosby.
The following week, Ben Lowe and Communications Assistant, Danika Foster, will be headed to a few stops in Pennsylvania as well as one more in Indiana.
We look forward to meeting and sharing with many of you as well as growing our movement and continuing to see where God is leading us.

Y.E.C.A. Mentioned in Wall Street Journal Article

Our National Spokesperson, Ben Lowe, was quoted in an article published online by the Wall Street Journal on Friday, January 25. The article aimed to show a divide in the ages of voters who believe that global warming is linked to human action saying,
"In an October poll by the Pew Research Center, younger respondents showed the highest agreement with the view that warming is manmade and that it is a "very serious" problem. Only 28% of respondents 65 and over thought there was solid evidence the earth was warming because of human activity, versus 42% overall."
It is both exciting and empowering for YECA to have been featured in a Wall Street Journal article. Although not many people in our exact demographic read the Wall Street Journal, we are both delighted and humbled that Ben was chosen to represent our age group and demographic to WSJ's regular readers. Being published by such a largely circulated media group also means that we're having an impact and getting heard outside of our own demographic.
