Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
Matthew 28:19, 20, NLT
I’m always excited when I am challenged to go outside the walls of my church to share the good news of Jesus Christ. It’s a powerful reminder of my primary purpose as a Christian: to go and make disciples.
Before Jesus ascended to His heavenly Father, He charged His twelve disciples to go and make disciples. But this charge wasn’t just for the twelve; it extends to everyone who accepts Him as their Savior. That includes you and me.
As writers, how are we to go and make disciples?
We make disciples by sharing the good news of Jesus Christ through our writings. We write to share His love with others. We write to let others know of His desire to heal their deepest hurts and wounds.
Christian author Marlene Bagnull states: “While we may never go more than a few hundred miles from our homes, our written words can go around the world and make a difference for all eternity.”
Are you ready for your words to make a difference around the world today? Then write to inspire and make disciples!
