The Baltimore Area Council has a bright future in 2024 as we continue our work of serving more youth, providing great programs, and the continued development of Broad Creek Memorial Scout Reservation....

Topics of this new series include incident reporting helps, safe use of medication in Scouting, weather-related safety, winter activity, and winter sports.

Weather Ready Nation Merit Badge Event
The American Meteorological Society and National Weather Service invite you to join us for our annual Weather Ready Nation Scouting Event on Sunday, January 28, at the Baltimore Inner Harbor Hilton. Scouts will learn how to interpret symbols on a weather map, discuss what items need to be in an emergency kit, determine ways families and communities can be prepared in a weather emergency, and much more! Scouts will earn a unique Weather-Ready Nation patch, as well as the Weather Merit Badge, and get a head-start on Emergency Preparedness.
Price: Free, $35 for parking, per car
Please bring: 2 blue merit badge cards (letters of completion will be available on site, if needed)
