Children: Children of all ages are always welcome to attend worship service with their family. Settle also provides a nursery for ages 0-3 starting at the 9 a.m. Sunday School hour and running through the conclusion of both worship services. For children preschool-Grade 5, Settle offers Sunday School at 9 a.m. in the Education Building, and for preschool-Grade 2, we also offer children's church, where children sit with their parents at the beginning of worship and exit worship as a group after our children's message. Drop off/pickup for all children's activities are in the Education Building.

Join Us Starting Feb. 21 for Wednesday Nights at Settle

Starting on Wednesday, Feb. 21, we will resume our Wednesday Bible studies and activities. Everyone is invited, and the Lenten season is a great time to join us! Groups are available for all ages.

10 a.m. Bible Study

  • Adult Bible Study, ROC Conference Room – “In the Footsteps of the Savior” – Pastor Mark Dickinson will lead this study written by Max Lucado. The study traces the steps of Jesus in the Holy Land starting in Bethlehem all the way to the road to Emmaus. This study will be video- and Scripture-led and will prepare us for the celebration of Easter. Through this study, participants will see and experience God’s heart for his people and the deep love that he has for each of us.

5 p.m. Meal

  • Simple meal in the ROC gym. Menus will be announced weekly in our publications.

5:45 p.m. opportunities:

  • Nursery Available in the Education Building for children age 3 and younger who are not potty trained.
  • Children preschool-Grade 5 are invited to participate in Settle’s children’s choir. Meet in the ROC gym to go to the Education Building.
  • Youth (Grades 6-12) are invited to join us for the girls small group or boys small group. Girls meet at the Welcome Desk in the Education Building, and boys meet in the ROC gym.
  • Adult Short-Term Bible studies meet in the ROC (2 options):
  1. “In the Footsteps of the Savior”Pastor Mark Dickinson and Jennifer Dickinson will lead this study written by Max Lucado (see the description above under the 10 a.m. study).
  2. “What Does It Mean to be Chosen?”Pastor Cindy Palacios will lead this study that parallels the TV series "The Chosen." This study will review Scripture excerpts, quotes, and illustrations from the show with guiding questions for the group. The study will take us to the Old Testament and the New Testament to answer what it means “to be chosen.” Every lesson encourages participants to refresh their hearts during the Lenten season and put their focus directly on Christ. If you would like to have a study guide (not required) for this group, click here to purchase your guide.
  • God’s Troubadours, a mountain dulcimer/folk music group, practices in the Shepherd Center auditorium. If you are interested in adding your musical talent to the group, contact Joan Kolok at koloksculpt@gmail.com.

6:45 p.m. opportunity:

  • Settle’s sanctuary choir meets in the Shepherd Center’s choir room. All interested singers are invited! Questions? Contact Rebecca Volk at rebecca.volk@daviess.kyschools.us.
