“Jesus left that part of the country and returned with his disciples to Nazareth, his hometown. The next Sabbath, he began teaching in the synagogue, and many who heard him were astonished. They asked, ‘Where did he get all his wisdom and the power to perform such miracles?’” - Mark 6:1-2
“’He’s just the carpenter, the son of Mary and the brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon. And his sisters live right here among us.’ They were deeply offended and refused to believe in him …” - Mark 6:3
“And Jesus was amazed at their unbelief.” - Mark 6:6
“When Jesus arrived at Capernaum, a Roman officer came and pleaded with him, ‘Lord, my young servant lies in bed, paralyzed and racked with pain.’” - Matthew 8:5-6
“Jesus said, ‘I will come and heal him.’ Then the officer said, ‘Lord, I am not worthy to have you come into my home. Just say the word from where you are, and my servant will be healed! I know, because I am under authority of my superior officers, and I have authority over my soldiers. I only need to say, Go, and they go, or come, and they will come. And if I say to my servants, do this or that, they do it.’” - Matthew 8:7-9
“When Jesus heard this, he was amazed. Turning to the crowd, he said, ‘I tell you the truth, I haven’t seen faith like this in all the land of Israel!’” - Matthew 8:10

Children: Children of all ages are always welcome to attend worship service with their family. Settle also provides a nursery for ages 0-3 starting at the 9 a.m. Sunday School hour and running through the conclusion of both worship services. For children preschool-Grade 5, Settle offers Sunday School at 9 a.m. in the Education Building, and for preschool-Grade 2, we also offer children's church, where children sit with their parents at the beginning of worship and exit worship as a group after our children's message. Drop off/pickup for all children's activities are in the Education Building.
