Tennessee is showing the rest of the 49 States in the USA how to display our Godly roots.
This is an update from Terri Franklin, [Barbi and Terry Franklin, worshipcity.us] in an email to our brother Warwick Marsh in Australia. I've put in bold some highlights:
Hi Warwick,
Thank you so much! Yes. Much more news coming! Rep. Monty Fritts has commissioned Terry and I to put together the ending celebration in Nashville on July 31st to bring everyone together. The opening ceremony yesterday at the noon hour was beautiful. Terry and I had many of our Tennessee Prayer Coalition leaders and Worship City leaders from across the state there to help with the prayers of repentance and to help set up some of our small tents and a battery operated sound system as we have been leading tent events of prayer, worship, and Bible reading on that plaza for years. Last year was called "Worship City Repent-Tents" with a large cross in the center where people could kneel and repent and pray www.WorshipCity.com. We later took our tents down to Chattanooga area to lead another prayer and worship event with some of our Tennessee Prayer Coalition leaders there where 20 city churches and "on-fire" Lee University students participated in all night repentance, prayer and worship.
Representative Monty Fritts, who had the vision for this month of prayer and fasting and wrote the resolution with the help of several pastors, will be visiting gatherings at all 95 Court Houses across Tennessee in July. The schedule is on the website at www.Pray4TN.us and we are beginning to compile a calendar for many public church prayer meetings being planned as well, which we hope to also add to the website. Our prayer from the moment Terry and I heard about this, and then jumped in the deep end to help with this effort, was that this initiative would be an example for all Governors across America. Many of these Tennessee government leaders have stated that they realize there is not a law or legislation in our political system that can save our nation. They now see clearly that only God in his mercy can heal our land. It is an unprecedented "Call to Repentance, Fasting, and Prayer" as never has a political leader called for a whole month of humility before God.
One of our Tennessee Prayer Coalition leaders, who lives in East Tennessee took videos and pictures of yesterday's event and will soon upload a report to YouTube that we can all share. He also writes articles for newspapers, so I will forward those to you as soon as they are done for your information and updates. The more folks that can hear, the better. Perhaps the remnant will cry out to God with one voice to pray for a tsunami of repentance to gush across our nation in the coming days and months that will also capture hearts around the world. This has been all of our prayer teams greatest plea for decades!
