All Saints Sunday

A Word from our Rector, Matt Lindeman

I'm so thankful for the robust participation we had in the Trick or Trot, as well as the fabulous inaugural Trunk or Treat event for our children at St. Peter's. We had a fabulous time!

Looking forward, This week has been a full one at St. Peter's, and this weekend will be a rich celebration of the hope of resurrection. I ask for your continued prayers for the Velez family as we prepare to honor his life through vigil and burial services this Friday and Saturday.

We continue on Sunday with the feast of All Saints, which we will observe in our morning services. More pointedly, we will read out the list of those we've loved and lost, at both the morning services, and our requiem service sung by the choir at 5:00 pm. These services give us permission to grieve, to feel, and to pause in remembrance of those we love but see no longer.

As the days grow short, and the looming disorientation of daylight savings approaches, (this Sunday!) I invite you to pray and seek out the hope and light we see in Christ.

Yours in "the light that shines in the darkness, never and the darkness does overcome it."

John 1:5

Stewardship Season at St. Peter's

Every year, we are called to reflect with gratitude on what God has blessed us with as individuals and families, and prayerfully consider what we might share of our treasure, time, and talent, as we join God’s mission. We invite your prayerful response to our annual campaign this year, and welcome pledges through our online giving page.

You can make your intentions known for the 2022-23 annual fund by submitting a pledge card, or by emailing our treasurer, Sharon MacKenzie

Our mission and ministries rely primarily on the financial support of our own congregation. Regular support, in the form of pledging is the best way for our leadership to craft the budget we need to continue in the work we are called to.

Stewardship Breakfast

Come celebrate what God is up to among us as we look forward to the year ahead with our gratitude breakfast on November 13 after the 8:00 am and 10:00 am services.

Daylight Saving Time Ends

A reminder to set your clock back 1 hour on Saturday night. Daylight Saving Time ends at 2 AM on November 6.

• What do you love about your parish community? What excites you?

• What breaks your heart? What keeps you up at night?

• Where do you see potential for new life? What do you dream about us doing together?

We will have time to ask our Bishops about whatever is on our minds!

And we will have time to be mark this moment in our common life, listening for the voice of the Holy Spirit in our worship together.

And, we'll share a festive coffee hour at the end (around 11:30am)
