World Malaria Day, observed annually on April 25th, emphasizes the global effort needed to control and eventually eradicate malaria, a disease that significantly impacts tropical and subtropical regions. This parasitic disease, transmitted by the bites of infected mosquitoes, poses a serious health threat, disproportionately affecting young children and pregnant women, especially in Africa.

In response, Mission Africa distributes free, life-saving malaria medication to patients who attend our medical outreach each spring. We are grateful for the continued support from our partners and donors who partner with us to address urgent health needs and empower communities toward a malaria-free future.

If our mission moves you and you want to make a direct impact, consider joining us for our 2025 mission trip interest meeting. This is an opportunity to participate in a life-changing outreach while experiencing life in a different culture.

It's National Volunteer Week!

As we celebrate National Volunteer Week, we at Mission Africa are reminded of our volunteers' extraordinary dedication. Whether serving locally by brightening up a child's day with our Back to School Drive, bringing smiles at Christmas through our toy and coat drive, sorting in-kind donations from Amazon and World Vision at our office in Washington State, or engaging globally on our annual mission trip to Nigeria, where local volunteers assist in medical outreaches and student scholarship programs—we're incredibly grateful. Your presence at our events is both a gift and a blessing, enriching our community and strengthening our mission. You are our most outstanding achievement and the wind beneath our wings. We want the world to know that we cannot do it without you, and we thank you. Our volunteers are the true embodiment of "Changing Lives One Village at a Time!"

We need more heroes like you to join us as we continue our mission. There is something for everyone, whether locally in Federal Way, Washington, assisting with immediate needs around the office, or abroad, participating in our spring mission trip.

Community Corner: Meet PalCare Nigeria

Providing Free Medical Services to the Underserved

When organizations with aligned missions and values join forces, the result can be a powerful multiplying effect, amplifying impact and extending their reach far beyond what they could achieve individually. Mission Africa is immensely proud to partner with PALCare Nigeria (NG), an organization whose invaluable work in health education seamlessly complements our mutual focus on healthcare.

Together, we harness our collective resources, expertise, and networks to tackle some of the most pressing health challenges faced by underserved communities in Nigeria. This collaboration strengthens our programs and fosters a more holistic approach to community health that is both sustainable and transformative.

By uniting our efforts, we can drive meaningful change and create a lasting positive impact in the lives of those we serve, a result made possible by our supporters' generosity.

We invite you to hear directly from those at the heart of this impactful collaboration. Click here to read the inspiring testimony of Dr. Charles Onyegbado, a dedicated PALCare NG representative.
