Greetings From The Farm!
The show season is over, but we closed out the year like lions! Read on to learn all about our tremendous successes at our last two outings of the year, and what we'll be up to for the next few months.
What's Up
What a triumphant close to our 2020 show season: a HUGE victory for my friend Abe Pugh aboard Alice Drayer's Elfenperfekt at the CDI in Tryon, where Abe and "Pistol" won BOTH the Grand Prix and World Cup Qualifying Freestyle! That makes them the top ranked combination in the North American League. How exciting!! HUGE congrats to Abe and Alice, and a huge thank you for being a part of your team.

It wasn't the only triumph for this combination - they were just two weeks off their win at the Region 1 Championships, where they were Grand Prix Champions in the Open division.

The rest of the crew also had a great outing - I had really good rides on Judy Sprieser's Helio HI and Terrina Baker's De Angelicus MTF, who both made big move ups this year. And I was very excited to win the Third Level Open Championship aboard my Gretzky RV.

It's been a fantastic year, and we're looking forward to maximizing our winter to come out strong in 2021. If you're looking for a world-class training opportunity, consider joining us for either a short- or long-term stay. Our clients advance up the levels in a fun and positive way, and are part of our warm family atmosphere. We have one stall available in our Wellington, FL location, where we operate from mid-December to mid-April in the glorious sunshine, or we can accommodate another horse in Virginia this winter, where our indoor arena, heated grooming bays and wash stalls, and all-weather paddocks make light work of enduring what Mother Nature deals out. Email me to learn more!
What's New
We've got one more upcoming event on the docket: an exciting in-hand and long lining clinic with Claudio Oliveira, a gifted teacher joining us from Wellington, Florida. Claudio is "the guy" you call when your horse needs to learn to piaffe and passage, and we're thrilled to have him joining us November 14-15. We have limited availability for participants and for masked, socially-distanced auditors. Sign up on Strider!

We've also got some friendly new faces. First, join me in welcoming our new working student Allie, who joins us from North Carolina by way of Germany, where she's been starting young horses. We're thrilled to have her on the team!

We're also excited to have a new horse for one of our own - Selene LHF, Assistant Trainer Karrigan's new three-year-old by Stedinger. Congratulations, Karrigan! I'm so excited to help you on your journey together.

As usual, we are open for trailer-in folks, in the afternoons and evenings as usual. Students will tack up at their trailer, and go straight to the arena, without going in the barn. And if your horse needs water or a bath, there's a hose outside.

We're also delighted with the response to our always-wildly-popular Cavaletti Sundays! These fun lessons are suitable for all levels of education and experience, and are a fantastic complement to any dressage or event rider's typical training program. Assistant Trainer Karrigan will help challenge you and your horse while improving athletic performance, dexterity and strength. These fun lessons are every Sunday afternoon, and are PRIVATE lessons for only $45. Why pay more for less? Email Karrigan to learn more.

As always, you can sign up for lessons on TimeCenter. Anyone coming to ride needs to come alone - no spouses, children, or guests of any kind will be allowed on the property. In our indoor arena we obviously have the loudspeaker; if you're riding outside, we can call you on your cell and have you wear earbuds, or we can just shout.

Karrigan and I are also available for our hub lessons, including room for new locations. We will adhere to the same plan, in reverse: we will only go to the arena and not through your barn, we can use our phones instead of headsets, or if you've got an outdoor arena we can drive up next to, we can even teach from our cars!

If you will be joining us, or have us joining you, we ask that if you feel unwell, or have been exposed to someone sick, PLEASE cancel, and we're scrapping our 24-hour notice policy. We also accept Venmo and PayPal instead of checks or cash, to reduce exposure. Those links are below.
