Words of Encouragement
from Laurie Brown
Good Morning Everyone!
Welcome to CSMSG SGN.

Some Good News is happening at
The Church of St. Michael & St. George.
I'm Laurie Brown, let’s get to it!

The St. Michael Sunday Drive-Thru Edition was a great success thanks to James, who had the barrels and chairs set up by 6 AM, and Theresa who helped set up, decorate and clean-up.
Thank you to the ministry volunteers who handed out water balloons, prizes, information, biscuits, and more from their tables. The parade featured at least 50 cars (honestly, we lost count)! Carolyn and Ken Greenlaw led the parade with balloons flying from their car. George Fonyo, our most venerable CSMSG member, was there for his 70th+ St. Michael’s Sunday Celebration. We distributed 200 boxed lunches. Our parishioners love their fried chicken!
In Other Good News

Parks Sanders, son of Jennie and Parker Sanders, was baptized on August 30th. Parks is the grandson of Cathy and Don Sanders, great grandson of Sara Arn.

Joining Parks in the Church School class of 2022 is Caroline Freund who was baptized on October 4th. Caroline is the daughter of Kristen and Joe Freund.
Oh Baby!
And a big CSMSG welcome to our newest parishioners - Emily and Adam!

Emily Katherine Gredell was born on September 7th. She is the daughter of Hillary and Lucas Gredell

Adam Phillip Morton, son of Anna and Billy Morton, grandson of Michelle and Tom Klein, was born September 30th. I am certain Adam’s brothers Austin, Liam, Grant, Caleb and sister Julianne will be showing him around the donut table in the Great Hall very soon!
These new disciples of Christ join our CSMSG community as we continue the journey began by those who came before us. They join the relay race started by those who worked hard with great faith to prepare a community for us to inherit. We now hold the baton, preparing our church for this next generation. In this season of Stewardship I hope each one of us will be generous to give, so the baton will not fall as we hand it off to the next generation.

The good news is the CSMSG community continues to march on! The Holy Spirit is at work here. There is always Some Good News at CSMSG!

Signing off until next time,

Laurie Brown
