12 Verses to Start the New Year
As we approach the new year it seems that we have thoughts of how we need to change our exercise program (or start one), change the way we react to situations, eating habits and many more. Every day is a gift from the Lord, and His word is one of our greatest tools for strength and victory.
As we begin year 2024 let us make it a priority to study, memorize and ponder in our hearts the precious word of God.
Lamentations 3:22-24. “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning: great is your faithfulness.”

Philippians 4:4-7. “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I say, rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Proverbs 3:5-6. “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”

Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm.
Mark 12:30-31. “And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength…you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these.”
