British Griffis, a 2011 alumna of the Women's Health Science Program is drawing upon her experiences at Northwestern to pay it forward by inspiring the next generation of women in science and medicine. Through her work as a Peace Corps Volunteer, Griffis is partnering with local schools in rural Nepal to update STEM classrooms and curricula.
The Women's Health Research Institute and Baxter Center for Science Engagement have teamed up to donate laboratory equipment and supplies, along with other science education tools and materials to support British's efforts.
If you are interested in donating science books, equipment, supplies, or are willing to contribute to shipping costs, please contact Dr. Niki Woitowich at nicole.woitowich@northwestern.edu
