With less than two weeks from the Women's Fund Luncheon, you can imagine we're busy here at the Women's Fund! We are blown away by the support of the Luncheon, selling out a week after invitations went out.

So many details go into planning our biggest fundraising event of the year, from the speakers, food selection, raffle items, and even the songs we play! Thought goes into every part of our Luncheon and we can't wait to see everyone on September 7! We're excited to share that we have a matching gift opportunity on the day of the Luncheon, which you can read about below.

The theme, Women's Firsts, will host empowering conversations and stories that we hope will stick with you long after you leave. Thank you for assisting us in enabling women to reach their highest potential.
With gratitude,

Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the 23rd Annual Women's Fund Luncheon, is right around the corner! The Luncheon brings awareness to the issues facing women and girls in your community and supports our vision of a community of equality where power and opportunity are not limited by gender.

At this year's Luncheon, we are excited to be able to welcome our new donors to the Women's Fund family with a matching gift opportunity thanks to the J.J. Keller Foundation. Any gifts up to $1,000 made by a NEW donor will be matched up to $10,000!

And don't worry existing donors, we have something special in store for you too!

When we invest in women and girls, our community thrives. Thank you to all who will be joining us.

To help teens learn how to deal with challenges positively, make healthy decisions and accept themselves as they are, BEAMING Inc. created the Hold Your Horses Equine Program. This summer, 39 campers completed the program, which was supported by the Tracy and Doug Page Health, Wellness and Empowerment Fund within the Women’s Fund for the Fox Valley Region. The fund supports projects and programs that will benefit the health and well-being of women and girls in developing healthy habits leading to greater self-confidence and empowerment.

During the camp, teens participate in hands-on horse experiences such as grooming, walking, saddling and riding horses; barn activities; and teambuilding and life skills exercises.

"The program provides emotional support through building connections and relationships with their equine partners," said Emily Anderson, marketing and outreach director of BEAMING Inc. in Neenah, a non-profit provider of equine-assisted learning and adaptive horsemanship.

“Equine-assisted services are a unique way to reach hurting and troubled youth. Staff and volunteers use horses as a medium to forge relationships with teens and help them open up about the challenges they face, while at the same time helping boost their
self-esteem,” she said.

We're so happy to help support the Hold Your Horses Equine Camp this year. We encourage you to follow their journey on their website and Facebook.

A 2021 Gallup poll found that slightly less than half of U.S. adults, 46%, have a will that describes how they would like their money and estate to be handled after their death.

We encourage you to complete your will during “Make A Will Month” this August. If investing in women beyond your lifetime is important to you, find out more about our legacy giving program, WillPower. Reach out to our development manager, Terri St. Lawrence, to learn more or visit our website!

Taking you back to your childhood, the Barbie movie is one of the most popular movies today worldwide.

Women are continuously underrepresented in movies and rarely have a woman-directed movie being this successful, so hats off or convertible roof down for the Barbie movie! If you haven't seen it yet, we hope you will!

With the Luncheon two weeks away, we want to share a playlist we made a couple of years ago on Spotify featuring empowering songs by women!

If you've got a book recommendation from our very own Julie Keller, this would probably be it, and for a good reason. In Melinda Gates book, The Moment of Lift: How Empowering Women Changes the World, Melinda shares a window into her world and the people she's come across as a call to action for women's empowerment.
