The Lenten Journey

Dear Roxanna,

Yet even now declares the LORD return to me with your whole heart, with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Rend your hearts, not your garments, and return to the LORD, your God, for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love, and relenting in punishment.

Joel 2:12-13

Yesterday, we celebrated Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the season of Lent, a period of preparation to celebrate the Lord's Resurrection at Easter. It was the perfect opportunity for us to recommit and focus on turning towards God. During this Lenten season, let us ask God to help us on our journey as we seek to follow his will more faithfully.

We enjoyed our annual Special Person’s Dance where our young men shared special moments with special people in their lives. We give thanks to God for giving us with this opportunitiy to share his goodness with our loved ones.

We also celebrated Valentine’s Day. Let us remember the truest love we know is God’s love. There is no love like God’s love. His love for us will never decrease or subside, and it will continue for all eternity. At all times, in all conditions, regardless of who we are or what we have done, God loves us. God’s love inspires acts of kindness, compassion, and selflessness and that is what our school community sees and feels from you our donors, benefactors and friends.

As always thank you for showing us God’s true love and for your loving support!

Your copy should address 3 key questions: Who am I writing for (audience)? Why should they care (benefit)? What do I want them to do (call-to-action)?

Create a great offer by adding words like "free," "personalized," "complimentary," or "customized." A sense of urgency often helps readers take action, so consider inserting phrases like "for a limited time only" or "only 7 remaining!"
