Dancing N Dixie Takes her Late Running Kick into Saratoga Oaks

Fresh off a dramatic neck victory in the $233,000 Tepin at Churchill Downs, Florida-bred Dancing N Dixie takes her exciting come-from-behind style to Saratoga Race Course for Friday’s Grade 2 Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Oaks Invitational. Dancing N Dixie is 8-1 on the morning line as one of seven 3-year-old fillies entered for the $400,000 Oaks scheduled for a mile-and-three-sixteenth on the grass.

Winners to be Honored at TOBA National Awards

LEXINGTON, KY—The Thoroughbred Owners and Breeders Association announced the state breeders of the year, Broodmare of the Year, Claiming Crown Horse of the Year, Robert N. Clay Conservation Award, Rood & Riddle Sport Horse of the Year, and Dr. J. David Richardson Industry Service Award winner for the 39th annual TOBA National Awards.

Jockey Julien R. Leparoux is approaching a personal milestone of 3,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through Wednesday, July 31, Leparoux was at 2,991 wins. He has one scheduled mount at Saratoga Race Course on Friday.

Trainer George Weaver is approaching a personal milestone of 1,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through Wednesday, July 31, Weaver was at 997 wins. He has two horses entered at Saratoga Race Course on Thursday.
