FTBOA Releases New Florida-bred and Florida Sire Stakes Online Registry Search

OCALA, FL—The Florida Thoroughbred Breeders' and Owners' Association announced today further online innovations allowing stakeholders to easily confirm a Thoroughbred's current FTBOA Florida-bred registration status, Florida Sire Stakes eligibility and to verify registered Florida Stallions.

Next Stop Monmouth Park and Jersey Shore for Well-Traveled Buccherino

Florida-bred Buccherino has been to four different tracks in making his seven career starts and returns to Monmouth Park Friday for the $100,000 Jersey Shore against five other 3-year-olds going six furlongs.

Florida-breds Rosie's Halo, Genuine Peril Set for Colonial Downs Allowance Thursday

Rosie's Halo and Genuine Peril look for their first victories of the year Thursday at Colonial Downs when the two Florida-breds head to the post in an upper condition, $75,000 optional claiming for fillies and mares. The $90,000 purse has attracted seven entrants, 3-year-olds and older, who will go seven furlongs.

Jockey Julien R. Leparoux is approaching a personal milestone of 3,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through the 6th race at Saratoga on Wednesday, July 17, Leparoux was at 2,991 wins. He has three scheduled mounts at Saratoga Race Course on Friday.

Trainer George Weaver is approaching a personal milestone of 1,000 Thoroughbred career wins in North America (US and Canada). Through the 6th race at Saratoga on Wednesday, July 17, Weaver was at 996 wins. He has two horses entered at Saratoga Race Course on Friday.
