Maintenance Notice

Maintenance on the turf course will begin on Monday, June 17th and be completed by Thursday, July 4th. There will be no turf races carded during these dates.

Ciaran Dunne, a native of Kildare, Ireland, graduated from the prestigious Irish National Stud Thoroughbred breeding course before emigrating to the U.S in 1987.

Classic of Course To Try Tremont Stakes at Saratoga Thursday


Amy E. Dunne and Patrick L. Biancone’s Classic of Course will try to become the first Florida-bred since He Hate Me in 2017 to win the $150,000 Tremont for 2-year-olds at five-and-a-half furlongs at Saratoga Thursday. Also trained by Biancone, the bay son of Awesome of Course is the 7-2 third choice in the field of eight.

Florida-bred Bucchero Filly, West Coast Colt Top Quarter-Mile Works During First Day of OBS June Under Tack Show


A Florida-bred filly by Bucchero and a colt by West Coast each worked a quarter mile in :20.60 to record the fastest two-furlong times at the first day of under tack works previewing the Ocala Breeders' Sales June Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training and Horses of Racing Age.

HISA Announcement Regarding Metformin

Following the recommendation of the Anti-Doping and Medication Control Standing Committee, the board of directors of the Horseracing Integrity and Safety Authority announces the following policy change effective immediately regarding the ADMC Program with respect to the Banned Substance metformin. Commencing immediately, the HISA board has requested that HIWU defer active Provisional Suspensions for metformin positives.

Foal and Stallion Nominators Elect 19 Breeders' Cup Members

Ocala Stud's David O'Farrell Elected

LEXINGTON, KY— Breeders’ Cup Limited announced today that 19 individuals have been elected to serve as Breeders’ Cup Members. Voting for the 2024 Member election by 2023 Breeders’ Cup foal and stallion nominators concluded at 5:00 p.m. EDT on June 3. Votenet, an independent election services company, administered the Members’ Election voting process.
