Florida-bred Loyalty Evens the Score With Big Rally in Bessarabian

Third in last year's Grade 2 Bessarabian won by fellow Florida-bred Our Flash Drive, Antony Beck's Gainesway Stable and LNJ Foxwoods' Loyalty avenged that loss with a length-and-a-half victory in the 2023 edition of the CA$181,700 stakes at Woodbine Saturday.

Jockey Edgar Perez is approaching a personal milestone of 1,000 Thoroughbred career wins. Through racing on Saturday, Nov. 11, Perez has 997 wins in North America (US and Canada) plus two wins in Puerto Rico for a total of 999 wins.


Edgar Perez has six mounts Sunday and five mounts Friday, both at Gulfstream Park.
