Feminine Hygiene Bags

Thanks to all who joined us at The Alcove on January 18th to fill bags with feminine hygiene products for women. Many who could not attend the event donated items. What generous women! We filled 70 bags, which were delivered to New Directions, The Health Department, Interchurch, Winter Sanctuary and the Alpha & Omega House. Click on the link below to view photos from the event.

Recovery Housing

We are so glad that progress is being made on the Recovery House in Knox County! To view the property, click on the button below. Upon purchase of the house, Women United members will transform the property into a home. $10,000 has been set aside to purchase sheets, towels, pillows, kitchen equipment, and decorative items to make it a warm and inviting refuge for the women who will recover from substance abuse and treatment there. More details will be coming soon. Are you someone who enjoys creating a beautiful space to live? Be watching your in-box for the opportunity to sign up to help with this project.

Women in Recovery Breakfast

Our next breakfast will be Thursday, March 8th from 7:30-9:00 AM in the Garden Room at The Alcove. Join us to celebrate some friends from the Freedom Center who have worked hard to maintain sobriety for at least one year. This event is always inspiring. Click on the link below to RSVP to Karen.
